Summary:

A green ‘$’ symbol next to a user record is used to indicate if the user record belongs to an ‘Account Customer.’ This designation determines who is the primary owner of an account and who is the paying customer for the account. This mean that the user will also have their own customer record on Stripe. If a partner account is created, the partner’s user record will have this designation. If a client account is created by anyone other than the beneficiary, that user will receive this designation.

If the beneficiary creates a ‘Self’ client account, then they will receive this designation. The red ‘$’ symbol next to a user record is used to indicate an “inactive” account, but who the financially responsible user was.

Usage:

To inform the Hope Trust employees who are managing the Stripe accounts to know who is financially responsible for the account.
