Summary:

All client accounts have the ability to create and invite multiple users to view and interact with the account. A user on an account will have their own individual login information separate from other users and will have their own separate password. A user account is also called a ‘Relationship’ on the client account. There are four different ways in which a user account can be added to a client account.

Usage:

To add a user account to a client account the ‘Add Relationship’ button must be selected in the ‘Account Users’ section of the client account. Once the button is clicked the user will have four options of how to add a user account.

The first option is to input a partner's account referral code which will add the partner as a user and link the client account to the partner account.

The second option is to add an existing Hope Trust user account by inputting the email address of that existing user’s account.

The third option does not actually add a new user to an account, but will transfer the individual completing the action to the ‘Provider’ section of the client portal. This is a shortcut to adding providers to the platform.

The fourth and final option is to manually enter the account user’s information. The information required to add an account user this way is their first and last name, their email address, their phone number, and to choose what type of relationship they are to the beneficiary on the account (the client). The other information on the form does not necessarily need to be input but consists of information that is collected during the sign-up process.

The new user account can also be designated as an emergency contact, the primary or secondary contact of the client account or be selected to inherit the client account from the grantor’s user account. There is also an option to notify the new user account’s owner of the account being created. The owner of the new user account if notified, will receive an email which provides them a link to login to their new account and set a password for the user account. If the owner of the new user account has been selected to not be notified, no email will be sent, and the owner of the client account will have the option to send the email link and temporary password to the account user at another time.

At the end of each process the new user account’s permissions need to be set.
